Joanna
Joanna has been doing aerial dance on and off for the past ten years. She has an MFA in Lecoq-based Actor Created Theater from the London International School of Performing Arts and a BA in Dance and Theater from Swarthmore College. While at Swarthmore, she taught aerial fabric to fellow students and directed an original circus piece, as well as performing aerial fabric in several other student productions and aerial net in the Philadelphia Fringe.
In Austin, Joanna has been seen in the air and on the ground in various productions at the Vortex, including The Elementals: Air and Sarah Silver Hands, and as a clown in Gnap’s 69 Love Scenes at Salvage Vanguard. She has also performed with Sky Candy at various events, including the Vortex’s Nightmare Circus.
