Sky Camp Interns
We're looking for enthusiastic interns to join our Sky Camp team! Every year, from June-August our weeklong Sky Camps bring aerial and circus arts to kids ages 7-14, and we need interns to support Camp Counselors and help students have a fabulous week.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting counselors with classroom management during warm-up, lunch, snacks, and ground skill blocks
Leading games and crafts
Light cleaning (sweeping, wiping down tables) and tidying up props
Teaching campers ground skills, including hula hooping, plate spinning, juggling, and poi.
We provide paid training to prepare interns for camp. Training begins the week of Spring Break Sky Camp and continues on a weekly basis through the end of May.
Position requirements:
Must be at least 16 years old as of March 1, 2024
Must be able to communicate in a professional and timely manner with Program Director and team
Familiarity with working with youth such as schools, extra-curricular activities, or camps
Interest in learning to teach plate spinning, juggling, poi, tumbling, hula hooping, and other flow skills
Available for at least 5 weeks of summer camps
Interns are paid $15/hr to payroll or $20/hr to account credit for training and their work in camp.
